Претендент на президентську посаду від Демократичної партії США Хілларі Клінтон зареєструвалася в соціальній мережі Instagram. Менш ніж за добу на аккаунт політика підписалися близько 76 тисяч людей.

Наразі в Instagram Клінтон опубліковано три фотографії. На першому знімку, названому "Складний вибір", Клінтон відобразила вішалку, на якій висять кілька ділових костюмів різних кольорів.
В описі аккаунта політик назвала себе дбайливою бабусею і дала посилання на сайт своєї передвиборчої кампанії,пишут Українські новини.

12 квітня стало відомо, що Хілларі Клінтон вирішила балотуватися на пост президента США від Демократичної партії. У 2008 році вона вже робила таку спробу - брала участь у президентських перегонах і була основним конкурентом чинного глави держави Барака Обами всередині партії. Однак тоді в Обами виявилося більше прихильників.

З 2009 по 2013 Клінтон була держсекретарем США, з 2001 по 2009 - сенатором від штату Нью-Йорк, а з 1993 по 2001 була першою леді країни (тоді президентом США був її чоловік Білл Клінтон).

Вибори 2016 пройдуть в США 8 листопада. Кандидатом на них може бути американець, який отримав громадянство за правом народження. Він має бути не молодший за 35 років і прожити в США хоча б 14 років. Згідно з 22-ю поправкою до Конституції, діючий американський президент Барак Обама не зможе переобиратися на третій термін.
