Народний депутат України Віктор Чумак в ефірі одного з українських телеканалів розповів про те, що у нього були домовленості з еск-губернатором Одеської області Михайлом Саакашвілі про те, щоб після його звільнення з посади голови ОДА розпочати спільний політичний шлях в проекті «Хвиля», але так сталося, що в останній момент Саакашвілі просто відмовився і вирішив самостійно будувати свою політичну силу. Сьогодні Віктор Чумак є одним із рейтингових політиків України, він повідомив, що ініціативна група партії «Хвиля», яку облишив Саакашвілі, залишається разом, тож зовсім скоро в Україні «засвітиться» ще один політичний проект.

За словами Віктора Чумака, на сьогодні «Хвиля» втратила тільки двох грузинів Сааккашвілі і Сакварелідзе, всі інші політики залишаються в команді. В той же час Чумак називає безглуздям створювати черговий політичний проект в Україні та вважає, що реальніше шукати шляхи до об’єднання вже відомих політиків. Нардеп не виключив об’єднання партії «Громадянська позиція» Анатолія Гриценка, «Сили людей», «Демальянс» та тієї політичної групи, яку він очолює.

«Ми вже ведемо діалог, залишилось тільки остаточно обговорити умови, на яких може відбутися об’єднання для побудови політичної машини, яка б працювала в регіонах. Це не повинна бути олігархічна партія, треба йти до людей, щоб люди довіряли цій партії», – зазначив Віктор Чумак.
