Во Франции продолжается допрос бывшего президента страны Николя Саркози по делу о незаконном финансировании его избирательной кампании перед президентскими выборами 2007 года.

Фотограф Reuters заметил, как Саркози на автомобиле покидал свой дом в Париже в сопровождении адвоката, а затем вошел в офис следователя в Нантере.

Ни Саркози, ни его адвокаты до сих пор никак не прокомментировали сложившуюся ситуацию, однако ранее бывший президент Франции называл обвинения в свой адрес "гротескными".

Саркози был задержан 20 марта в связи с расследованием финансирования его предвыборной кампани.

Расследование возможных нарушений при финансировании избирательной кампании Саркози в 2007 году, в том числе относительно привлечения средств от лидера Ливийской Джамахирии Муаммара Каддафи, продолжается в Франции с 2013 года.
