У новітній історії країни жінка очолює уряд уперше. Відповідальну місію екс-глава верховного суду Греції взяла на себе, коли її попередник Алексіс Ципрас пішов у відставку, не зумівши домовитись із колегами про третю кредитну програму допомоги від Євросоюзу.

Василіка Тану-Христофилу вже склала присягу. Вона керуватиме країною до наступних виборів.
