Предыдущие парламентские выборы прошли в 2012 году и привели к смене власти в стране, передает ZN.ua

Парламентские выборы в Грузии назначены на 8 октября 2016 года. Об этом заявил во президент страны Георгий Маргвелашвили.

"Соответствующая документация будет отправлена премьер-министру Грузии завтра", – сказал президент после встречи с премьером Георгием Квирикашвили. Депутаты в парламент Грузии избираются сроком на четыре года.

Предыдущие парламентские выборы прошли в 2012 году и привели к смене власти в стране. Оппозиционная коалиция "Грузинская мечта", объединенная вокруг миллиардера Бидзины Иванишвили, тогда получила большинство мест в законодательном органе страны, опередив правящую партию "Единое национальное движение" президента Михаила Саакашвили.
