Компанія Яндекс опублікувала офіційну відповідь на критику користувачів за недостатнє висвітлення в «Яндекс.Новости» антикорупційних мітингів, які пройшли в Росії 26 березня.

В заяві компанії йдеться про те, що сюжети про мітинги були, але їх вага була занадто малою для потрапляння в топ-5, очкільки про подію не писали найбільші інформагентства. Яндекс також відкинула звинувачення в ручному втручанні в складання рейтингів, пише Media Sapiens

«Багато хто вирішили, що Яндекс свідомо прибирав новинні сюжети про акції протесту з топу "Яндекс.Новостей", і звинуватили нас в цензурі, не дуже розбираючись в тому, що відбувається. Це не так: ніякого ручного втручання бути не може, робота "Яндекс.Новостей" як і раніше повністю підпорядковується алгоритмам», - зазначили в компанії.

Представники компанії відзначають, що інші теми потрапляли в топ через те, що про них написали майже всі видання. Крім того, до деяких тем могла застосовуватися пошукова оптимізація. Також у Яндекс звернули увагу на дію нового закону про новинні агрегатори: з 1 січня 2017 року вони зобов'язані транслювати повідомлення ліцензованих Роскомнаглядом ЗМІ, в інших випадках агрегаторам доведеться нести відповідальність за передруковані матеріали. Таким чином, змінився перелік джерел, з якими «Яндекс.Новости» співпрацює.

В компанії також припустили, що в агрегатора могли виникнути проблеми з об'єднанням новин з різних регіонів в один сюжет і тому він працював «недостатньо оперативно».

Нагадаємо, «Яндекс.Новости» розкритикували за ігнорування теми антикорупційних протестів в Росії 26 березня.
