На дострокових парламентських виборах в Іспанії здобули перемогу п'ять заарештованих лідерів руху за незалежність Каталонії.

Як повідомляється на сайті партії "Ліві республіканці Каталонії" (ERC), депутатський мандат отримав колишній заступник глави Каталонії Оріел Жункерас.

Крім Жункераса, депутатський мандат в Сенат – верхню палату іспанського парламенту отримав колишній міністр закордонних справ Каталонії Рауль Ромева, який також висувався від ERC.

Крім того, депутатські мандати отримали Жорді Турулл, Жорді Санчес і та Жозеп Рулл, що висувалися від сепаратистського блоку "Разом за Каталонію", очолюваного екс-главою Каталонії Карлесом Пучдемоном.

На парламентських виборах, що відбулися 28 квітня в Іспанії, згідно з попередніми даними, найбільше голосів набрала Іспанська соціалістична робоча партія (ІСРП), яка правила раніше, отримавши 123 з 350 депутатських місць в парламенті. Це, однак, недостатньо, щоб лідер соціалістів Педро Санчес, головний кандидат в прем'єр-міністри Іспанії, міг сформувати уряд без створення партійної коаліції.
