Издание напоминает, что отравленный полонием Александр Литвиненко очень критически отзывался о российском президенте. В частности, он писал, что Путин – педофил, который имеет связи с русской мафией и колумбийскими наркобаронами. А к власти он пришел на фоне умышленных взрывов в жилых многоэтажках.
"Обвинения, сделанные бывшим российским шпионом, были перечислены в расследовании смерти Литвиненко как "мощные мотивы" для Кремля и российского президента, который хотел заставить его замолчать", - пишет Times.
Впридачу журнал проиллюстрировал свой материал знаменитой фотографией, на которой Путин целует в живот маленького мальчика.
