Американская актриса Синтия Никсон, известная ролью Миранды в сериале "Секс в большом городе", будет участвовать в выборах губернатора Нью-Йорка. Об этом сообщило издание The Wall Street Journal.

Издание отметило, что Никсон может стать серьезным конкурентом нынешнему губернатору Эндрю Куомо, который намерен баллотироваться на следующих выборах.

Сама актриса информацию пока не прокомментировала.

Никсон поддерживает Демократическую партию США. Ранее она участвовала в программе по поддержке легализации однополых браков.

Выборы губернатора Нью-Йорка пройдут в 2018 году.
