Крім того Форум благодійників проводить у різних містах низку семінарів для представників національної поліції, щоб сприяти очищенню вулиць від псевдоволонтерів. Поліцейські схиляються до того, що масова просвіта населення, стимулювання до відповідальних пожертв, принесуть найбільше користі.
Український форум благодійників радить не вкидати бездумно гроші до скриньки, а уважно роздивитися її, перевірити документи у волонтера, а перед тим поставити йому кілька запитань (більшість псевдоволонтерів відмовляються відповідати або припускаються помилок):
• волонтером якого фонду Ви є?
• коли було створено фонд?
• які напрямки його діяльності?
• для кого збираєте допомогу (ім’я і прізвище або конкретна потреба)?
• де зараз перебуває ваш бенефіціар (хвора дитина, військовий підрозділ, адреса закладу тощо)?
• яку суму необхідно зібрати на цю конкретну потребу?
• де можна буде побачити звіти про зібрані кошти?
• які банківські реквізити для переказу коштів?
• за яким номером я можу зараз зателефонувати, щоб уточнити деталі про фонд, бенефіціара, благодійну акцію?
• де я можу прочитати про благодійну акцію онлайн?
• скільки волонтерів і в яких районах збирають пожертви на ту саму
потребу?
• куди ви відносите скриньку з пожертвами, і що з нею тоді відбувається?
• як відбувається виймання коштів зі скриньки?
• чи є згода на оприлюднення персональних даних (у випадку, якщо кошти збираються на конкретну особу, дані якої оприлюднюються)?
