“Поле прапорів” символізує американців, які не можуть приїхати до Вашингтона на інавгурацію через пандемію коронавірусу і загрозу безпеці.

“Поле прапорів” підсвітили 56 прожекторами, що представляють собою 50 штатів і території США. Підсвічування увімкнули на 46 секунд – на честь 46-го президента США Джо Байдена.
