Зворушливий кадр зробив німецький фотограф Тобіас Баумгартнер в австралійському місті Мельбурн. Спостерігаючи за колонією пінгвінів він зауважив, що літня самка і молодий самець часто стоять поруч біля води. Волонтери, які доглядають за птахами, розповіли, що обидва пінгвіна недавно втратили своїх партнерів, і з тих пір втішають один одного.

"Це була історія любові і співчуття, і я дуже щасливий, що вона досягла стількох сердець по всьому світу, - сказав фотограф. - Це зображення побачили мільйони людей з різних релігій та культур, і воно виявилося посланням, зрозумілим кожному. Чого ще я можу бажати?"

Щоб зробити унікальний знімок, Баумгартнер провів з птахами три ночі.

"Через те, що ми не могли використовувати світло, а крихітні пінгвіни постійно рухалися, терлися і чистили одне одного, було дійсно складно зробити знімок. Але в один прекрасний момент мені пощастило", - сказав він.
