Президент Исландии Гудни Йоханссон поддерживал свою сборную в отборочном матче чемпионата мира-2018 против команды Косово (2:0). Политик сидел на обычной трибуне вместе с болельщиками, передает Сегодня.ua.

Йоханссон попал в кадр телевизионной трансляции в добавленное время матча. Фото с президентом Исландии было опубликовано несколькими пользователями в twitter.

Напомним, Исландия заняла первое место в группе и напрямую попала в финальную часть чемпионата мира, который следующим летом пройдет в России.

Второе место, дающее право сыграть в стыковых матчах, заняла команда Хорватии, в решающем матче обыгравшая Украину на "Олимпийском". Дублем в матче отметился нападающий Андрей Кармарич.

После матча наставник украинской команды Андрей Шевченко заявил, что, несмотря на результат, его подопечные сделали шаг вперед. 

А вот полузащитник Тарас Степаненко считает, что нам еще предстоит учиться выигрывать такие важные матчи, хотя Евгений Коноплянка верил в победу нашей сборной.

Андрей Ярмоленко отметил, что уровень Хорватии выше, чем у украинской сборной. Несмотря на это он считает, что во втором тайме команда отыграла ниже своих возможностей.

Отметим, что уже известны 17 участников предстоящего мундиаля. Сегодняшними матчами завершится отбор на ЧМ-2018 в Европе.
