В среду, 18 декабря, в Палате представителей Конгресса США начнутся дебаты, которые будут касаться импичмента президента США Дональда Трампа.

Об этом сообщает "Апостроф" со ссылкой на Медуза.

Как сообщает издание, судя по разворачивающейся ситуации, не исключено, что импичмент Трампу могут объявить в четверг, 19 декабря.

Примечательно, что 21 год назад, 19 декабря 1998 года, в США действующее республиканское большинство объявило импичмент президенту-демократу Биллу Клинтону.

В тоже время, стоит отметить, что импичмент не будет автоматически означать отстранения Трампа от власти — сначала решение должен утвердить Сенат, а там, наоборот, большинство у республиканцев.

В сети возможное отстранение Трампа от власти показали меткой карикатурой, на которой Трамп лежит, придавленный полоской на которой написано: "Импичмент".
