У період з 2014 по 2020 рік фотограф Френк Херфорд відвідав понад 770 станцій метро, збудованих за радянських часів у 19 містах. Він побував у Харкові, де зробив фото станції метро "Київська".

Кілька світлин фотографа, серед яких і світлина харківської станції, розмістили на сторінці  New York Times в інстаграм.

Фотограф робив світлини підземок в Україні, Білорусі, Азербайджані, Грузії, Вірменії Узбекистані і Росії. Також він фотографував метро у Бухаресті, Будапешті та Празі.

Його метою є створити архів фото підземок на згадку.

"Майже в кожному місті, яке я відвідав, мені ставили одне й те ж саме запитання: "Чому ти тут фотографуєш?", - розповідає автор світлин.
