5-го січня у Стамбулі відбулася важлива історична подія - підписання томоса про автокефалію Православної Церкви України.

Наступного дня після богослужіння у патріаршому храмі Святого Георгія вселенський патріарх Варфоломій передав томос митрополиту Київському і всієї України Епіфанію.

Судячи з фото, що оприлюднили у Facebook президента, на службі були перша леді з трьома дітьми, спікер Ради Андрій Парубій, кілька міністрів та екс-президент Віктор Ющенко.
