Листування з працівником підтримки оприлюднив користувач Фейсбуку Святослав Степаненко. Він написав у підтримку, бо не зміг опублікувати оголошення. Йому вибила помилка через те, що рекламодавці у рф не можуть створювати або запускати рекламу, а чоловік, мовляв, перебуває у росії.

Українця обурило те, що під час війни компанія ідентифікує його як росіянина. Тому він попросив виправити помилку. У відповідь працівник Meta заявив, що Київ є "частиною" росії.
