24-річний житель міста Фрозіноне в центральній Італії на ім’я Маріо втік з-під домашнього арешту до в’язниці, пояснивши цей крок бажанням зустріти Різдво не на самоті. Про це повідомляє "Європейська правда" з посиланням на Corriere della Sera.

Хлопець відбував покарання за дрібні злочини (які саме, не уточнюється) під домашнім арештом у будинку, де живе сам.

Не повідомивши ані пенітенціарні органи або свого адвоката, Маріо самостійно прийшов до в’язниці в комуні Кассіно й попросив, аби його заарештували.

"Я сам, волію провести Різдво тут", – цитує газета слова хлопця.

Наглядачі в’язниці, як пише Corriere della Sera, були спантеличені й викликали карабінерів. Хлопця затримали й відвезли назад до Фрозіноне.

Пояснення Маріо карабінерів не вдовольнили, тому його повернули під домашнє ув’язнення. Але вони запевнили, що повідомлять про ситуацію слідчого суддю, аби він зміг повторити прохання в установленому законом порядку.

Крім того, хлопцю доведеться постати перед судом за ухилення від домашнього арешту в порядку спрощеного провадження.
