Віце-президент США Джозеф Байден 8 грудня виступив у Верховній Раді України з промовою. Байден запевнив офіційний Київ у підтримці Вашингтона, засудив російську агресію і пообіцяв, що Штати ніколи не визнають Крим російським. Американський гість також здивував українців, процитувавши вірші Шевченка.

Выступление Байдена в Верховной Раде - мегапозитив. Не зря вата и россияне бесновались два дня. Украина - друг. Никто не собирается нас разменивать или идти на компромиссы. Наоборот - позиция очень жесткая.

Украина, по словам Байдена, это центр Вселенной и от нашей победы зависит очень многое. Поэтому весь цивилизованный мир смотрит с надеждой. Помощи будет много. Главное, чтобы мы не отступились и прошли свой путь до конца. Про российскую агрессию говорил жестко и очень прямо. Про танки и пушки в Донбассе, про оккупацию Крыма. Про то, что цель России - разрушить Украину, расколоть нас и уничтожить экономику. И дал понять - если мы слабину не дадим, то можем рассчитывать на своих союзников безоговорочно. ВВХ лучше забыть про все надежды - позиция США по Украине очень жесткая.

Шевченко цитировал - лучше некоторых наших как бы патриотичных политиков. Очень мощная и очень позитивная речь. Мотивировал всех. Напоследок из забавного. Байден сказал, что до выхода из Донбасса и прекращения оккупации Крыма никто с РФ санкций не снимет. Чувствуете разницу между фразами "До прекращения оккупации санкции никто не снимет" и "Санкции снимем после прекращения оккупации"?

Наверное, санкции вообще не снимут, пока Верхняя Вольта с ракетами не превратится просто в Верхнюю Вольту. В общем, если резюмировать выступление Байдена - Украина сильная и великая страна. И у нас сильные великие союзники. Ну а негодяи, которые хотят нам помешать, будут наказаны общими усилиями. Главное, чтобы мы не сдавались.
