Что случилось

Павел Дуров ответил на популярные вопросы в телеграм-канале «Чат Дурова». Вот что он рассказал о блокировке приложения, рекламе и исходном коде Telegram.

Блокировка приложения

Команда Telegram разрабатывает веб-версию приложения для браузера Safari. Это связано с тем, что Apple и Google могут в любой момент заблокировать приложение. Если в случае Apple стороннее приложение нельзя установить, то Android позволяет загрузить файл в виде APK (формат файла для установки приложений на Android. – Прим. ред.) и установить приложение.

Исходный код Telegram

 

Публикация серверного кода Telegram не гарантирует конфиденциальности. А все потому, что вы не можете быть уверены, что именно этот код выполняется на серверах.

«Код Telegram открыт. Он поддается проверке. Ни одно другое приложение так не проверяли на всех мобильных платформах, как Telegram. А вот код WhatsApp скрыт и намеренно запутан», – написал Дуров.

Три года назад Павел узнал, что одна страна с авторитарным режимом пыталась получить код Telegram. Их план состоял в том, чтобы запустить собственное приложение, а затем закрыть все другие соцсети в стране.

«Я не хотел давать диктаторам инструменты для порабощения их населения – это не должно быть наследием Telegram. Мы не готовы предать наши ценности, потому что несколько сбитых с толку пользователей, похоже, думают, что публикация серверного кода каким-то образом улучшит проверяемость», – рассказывает Павел.

Реклама в Telegram

«Мы не заставим вас смотреть 30-секундные ролики», – так написал Павел Дуров заявив, что реклама будет в крупных телеграм-каналах. Это связано с тем, что большие каналы дороги в обслуживании (сервер и трафик). Да и реклама будет в том случае, если телеграм-канал имеет подобные страницы в других соцсетях.
