Виборчий процес у частині висування кандидатур добіг свого логічного завершення. Серед найбільших сюрпризів на Чернігівщині – кандидатура першого космонавта України Леоніда Каденюка. Кандидат в народні депутати висувається за виборчим округом № 205.

За словами члена окружної виборчої комісії № 205, самовисуванець Каденюк не є двійником відомого космонавта. Нині він проживає в Києві та очолює Державне космічне агентство України.

До відома, на парламентських виборах 2002 року пан Каденюк здобув перемогу по виборчому округу № 205, який на той час був частиною Чернівецької області.
