Начиная с 30 июня 2015 года, подавляющее большинство мобильной, видео и десктопной рекламы в Контекстно-медийной сети Google, AdMob и DoubleClick будет зашифровано с помощью протокола HTTPS.

Рекламодатели, использующие любую из платформ, в том числе AdWordsи DoubleClick, с помощью соответствующего инвентаря смогут показывать HTTPS-зашифрованную медийную рекламу,пишет Searchengines.ru

Инициатива специалистов Google обеспечит пользователям наилучший рекламный опыт онлайн. Пользователи будут в безопасности всякий раз, когда они захотят посмотреть видео, спланировать поездку или открыть любимое приложение.

В настоящее время специалисты Google Adwords продолжают работу по внедрению протокола HTTPS во все продукты, чтобы поддержать своих партнеров - рекламодателей и издателей. По состоянию на конец 2014 года вся реклама YouTube уже переведена на протокол HTTPS.

HTTPS - это сигнал ранжирования, который запускается в режиме реального времени. Как только Google индексирует новый URL c HTTPS, этот URL сразу получает крошечный импульс ранжирования в связи с переходом на HTTPS. Это не значит, что рейтинг повысится с 5 места до 4, будет иметь место малозаметное повышение в общем алгоритме ранжирования.

Недавно Interactive Advertising Bureau опубликовало призыв к внедрению HTTPS-рекламы.
