Колишній ведучий програми на BBC отримав мільйон фунтів стерлінгів за продану компанію Bedder 6, що входила у франшизу Top Gear.

Екс-ведучому всесвітньо відомої телепередачі про автомобілі Top Gear Джеремі Кларксону корпорація BBC Worldwide виплатила 1 мільйон фунтів стерлінгів.

Згідно з інформацією видання, Джеремі Кларксону надійшов платіж за продану ним фірму Bedder 6, яка перебувала у франшизі Top Gear. Договір про продаж компанії ведучого було укладено три роки тому. Загальна сума операції становила близько 15 мільйонів фунтів стерлінгів.

Нагадуємо, що Кларксона відсторонили від роботи, а потім звільнили в березні за наслідками службового розслідування після сутички ведучого з продюсером у готелі.

4 березня Кларксон ударив продюсера Ойсина Тимона і розбив йому губу, внаслідок чого той звернувся по допомогу в лікарню.

25 березня ВВС оголосила результат внутрішнього розслідування інциденту, який полягав у тому, що контракт Кларксона як ведучого програми Top Gear не буде поновлено.

Його співведучі Річард Хаммонд і Джеймс Мей також звільнилися з телекомпанії для запуску нового проекту, створеного спільно з Кларксоном. При цьому керівництво ВВС заявило, що шоу Top Gear повернеться в новому форматі в 2016 році.
