С помощью них туристу смогут изучать обонятельные ландшафты городов

Международный коллектив ученых работает над проектом по созданию необычных туристических карт мегаполисов мира, особенностью которых станет запах. На них будут представлены обонятельные ландшафты, в настоящий момент ученые работают над картами Лондона и Барселоны,пишет sostav.ru

Поскольку запахи сложно представлять в наглядной форме, разработчики решили прибегнуть к помощи волонтеров. В частности, ученые создали словарь запахов, где каждому из них соответствовал свой цвет. Затем разработчики попросили жителей таких городов как Нью-Йорк, Амстердам, Глазго и др. провести так называемые «обонятельные прогулки», в ходе которых люди записывали, на каких улицах они встречали тот или иной запах.

В результате выяснилось, что «запаховая карта» Барселоны более благоприятна для человека, чем лондонская. Так, в английской столице проявляется контраст выбросов и природных ароматов, сконцентрированных в парках и зеленых зонах. Кроме того, довольно часто встречаются запахи животных. А в Барселоне, напротив, запахи цветов и растений преобладают над запахами бензина и выхлопных газов.
