Регулятор на Тайване вынес решение о штрафе в отношении южнокорейского электронного гиганта Samsung Electronics за размещение заказных комментариев о своем местном конкуренте, компании HTC. Комиссия по справедливой торговле Тайваня оштрафовала Samsung на $341 037 за подобную «маркетинговую активность».

Регулятор заявил, что Samsung обращалась к маркетинговой компании OpenTide для оказания услуг интернет-продвижения продуктов самой Samsung, а также для написания критики в адрес конкурента, пишет Бизнес. Помимо этого, в задачи компании входила нейтрализация негативных отзывов от недовольных покупателей Samsung. Наконец, работники OpenTide должны были публиковать ежемесячно статьи в блогах от имени пользователей, где восхваляли продукты Samsung.

В официальном заявлении Samsung сказано, что компания разочарована таким решением регулятора, но ничего не говорится о том, что компания с ним не согласна или будет как-то оспаривать.

Расследование на Тайване в отношении Samsung началось в апреле этого года, когда местный сайт TaiwanSamsungLekas заявил, что располагает данными о проведении сфабрикованной кампании по дискредетации HTC в интернете. В статье ресурс приводил копии документов, в которых говорилось, что Samsung нанимала сотрудников, которые за вознаграждение размещали критику на форумах HTC. В частности, они жаловались на только что выпущенный тогда HTC One и заявляли, что предпочли бы купить флагманский аппарат Samsung.
