Канада виділила Україні більше 15 мільйонів канадських доларів – що еквівалентно близько  $12 млн – на підтримку демократії. Про це заявив міністр обороны Джейсон Кенні, який перебуває з візитом в Україні, повідомили у прес-службі уряду Канади, пише Тиждень.ua
 

З цієї суми, 12,4 мільйони призначені на підтримку судової реформи, щоб допомогти українським судам стати більш незалежними, справедливими і ефективними, а ще 3 мільйони – на антикорупційні журналістські розслідування та подальшу підзвітність влади.

"Канада повністю підтримує зусилля України щодо збереження суверенітету, безпеки і стабільності перед обличчям невиправданої агресії з боку режиму Путіна. Ми демонструємо нашу підтримку за допомогою вкладу в посилення демократії і державних інститутів України, а також посилення потенціалу та тренування українських Збройних сил", – заявив Кенні.
