Розпочався відбір номінантів на конкурси "Книга року ВВС-2015" і "Дитяча книга року BBC-2015".

"Впродовж останніх десяти років ВВС Україна є чудовим майданчиком для дискусій про сучасну українську літературу. Оголошуючи старт одинадцятої премії, ми сподіваємося, що нове десятиліття цієї літературної премії ознаменується блискучими роботами в обох номінаціях", - сказала головний редактор ВВС Україна Ніна Кур'ята.

Премiя має на меті визначення найкращих прозових творів, написаних українською мовою.

Як і щороку, починаючи з 2012-го, проводять у партнерстві з Культурною програмою Європейського банку реконструкції та розвитку (ЄБРР).

"ЄБРР вірить у суспільство, де підприємництво, індивідуальність і незалежність духу відіграють ключову роль, і все це починається з гарної дитячої книги", - сказала радниця з питань культури ЄБРР Світлана Пиркало.

До журі премії Книга року ВВС 2015 увійшли:

Віра Агеєва, професор, Національний університет Києво-Могилянська академія;
Ольга Герасим'юк, журналістка;
Світлана Пиркало, письменниця, радниця з питань культури ЄБРР;
Марта Шокало, випусковий редактор ВВС Україна;
Юрій Володарський, літературний критик.

Переможець у кожній номінації отримає грошову премію у розмірі гривневого еквіваленту 1000 фунтів. Видавці книг-переможців в обох номінаціях отримають право використовувати логотип премії Книга року ВВС на наступних виданнях.

Видавці можуть подавати на розгляд журі до трьох книг у кожній категорії та до двох нових книг переможців попередніх конкурсів. Книги, подані на премію, мають бути художніми прозовими творами, написаними українською мовою, виданими упродовж останніх 12-и місяців на момент оголошення старту премії.

"Довгі списки" у кожній номінації визначає редакція ВВС Україна. "Короткі списки" та переможців визначає журі.

Останній термін подання книг на премію - 1 жовтня 2015 року. Переможців оголосять у грудні 2015 року.
