Социальная сеть Twitter заменил значок «звезда» (избранное - ред.) на «лайк». Кнопка «избранное» существовала в социальной сети с 2006 года.

Об этом компания официально заявила в своем блоге, пишет Forbes

«Мы меняем наш значок «звезды» для избранных «твитов» на «сердце», и будем называть этот значок «лайком». Мы хотим, чтобы Twitter стал легче и полезнее в использовании, и мы знаем, что порой «звезда» может ввести в заблуждение, особенно новичков. Вы можете «лайкнуть» множество постов, но не все может попасть в «избранное», – говорится в сообщении.

По мнению компании, значок «сердца» является универсальным символом, который понятен на разных языках, для любых культур и часовых поясов.

«Сердце» – более выразительно, что позволяет передать диапазон эмоций и легко общаться с людьми. И с помощью наших тестов мы пришли к выводу, что люди полюбили его», – подчеркивают в компании.
