В почетный Топ-10 книг декабря попал роман "Месопотамия", где Сергей Жадан "изображает современный Вавилон"

Роман известного украинского писателя, поэта и музыканта Сергея Жадана "Месопотамия" вошел в список лучших десяти книг декабря 2015 года по версии австрийского телеканала ORF. Об этом пишет информационно-аналитический сайт о современном искусстве Cultprostir.

"В своем романе Жадан изображает современный Вавилон - свой родной город Харьков. Когда он закончил книгу, то мыслей о Майдане у него еще не было. А когда автор был в литературном туре, началась война. В книге речь идет о разных людях, которые живут в "Месопотамии": между украинским Днепром на западе и российским Доном на востоке. С биографий, жизненных историй его героев родом со всех уголков бывшего СССР, Жадан создает портрет своего города", - говорится в материале канала.

Сам Сергей Жадан, который считает, что харьковчане голосовали не за сепаратиста Кернеса, а за жизнь в комфорте, утверждает, что его книги - аполитичны.

"Мои книги аполитичны, но каким-то образом так не везет и получается, что они связаны с политикой", - цитирует писателя ORF.

В Топ-10 книг декабря вошли также романы словенского писателя Драго Янчара, российского автора Александра Иличевского, Йоахима Майерхоффа и других.

Отметим, что роман "Месопотамия" Жадана вышел в немецком издательстве Suhrkamp этим летом.

Кстати, у Сергея Жадана появился личный "Ангелус".

Ранее украинская писательница София Андрухович получила престижную литературную премию.
