Таке рішення керівники вишу прийняли після того, як Трамп в одній зі своїх промов сказав, що в'їзд мусульман в США повинен бути повністю припинений після інциденту зі стріляниною в Сан-Бернардіно. Адже під час нападу злочинців загинули 14 людей.

Прес-служба університету стверджує, що висловлювання Трампа суперечать етиці та цінностям навчального закладу. Світові політики та громадські організації також сильно розкритикували радикальне налаштування політика.

Своєю чергою Білий дім закликав республіканців відмовитися від підтримки Трампа і відсторонити його від виборів.

Зауважимо, що Трамп отримав наукове звання (DBA) у 2010 році.
