Бен Карсон в ходе теледебатов приписал Сталину ложную фразу про Америку.

Во время теледебатов потенциальный кандидат на пост президента США от Республиканской партии Бен Карсон привел слова якобы Иосифа Сталина, которых тот не произносил.

"Иосиф Сталин говорил, что если хочешь уничтожить Америку, нужно подорвать три вещи - наши духовную жизнь, патриотизм и нравственность", - заявил Карсон в ходе дебатов, организованных телеканалом CBS.

Однако американские пользователи Twitter выяснили, что цитата, которую Карсон использовал в подтверждение своих слов, - фейк, разошедшийся в Facebook еще в 2011 году.

Случай с Карсоном спровоцировал волну насмешек над политиком в соцсетях.

"Как говорил Авраам Линкольн, "не верьте ничему, что написано в интернете", - по сути, Бен Карсон", - пишет редактор The Atlantic Мэтт Форд.

 

"Модератор дебатов: Доктор Карсон, вы хотите что-нибудь добавить? Бен Карсон: Вот кое-что, что я вычитал в письме, которое форварднули на мой ящик на Hotmail", - шутит редактор BuzzFeed.
