Британский уличный музыкант Денни МакЭвой исполнил кавер-версию песни победительницы украинского отбора "Евровидения-2016" Джамалы (сценический псевдоним украинской певицы крымскотатарского происхождения Сусаны Джамаладиновой), – сообщает Сегодня.

"Я не Джамала, поэтому я не буду петь на восхитительном вокальном уровне", − обратился он "к хорошим людям Украины", которые "могут подпевать". Также певец пожелал удачи Украине.

Напомним, Джамала будет представлять Украину на "Евровидении-2016" в Швеции. 32-летняя артистка специально для нацотбора написала песню "1944", на которую ее вдохновил рассказ прабабушки. Именно с этим годом связаны самые тяжелые воспоминания в ее семье. Речь идет о насильственной депортации крымскотатарского народа.

Участие в финальном голосовании приняли более 300 тысяч человек, что является рекордом для отборочного конкурса в Украине.
