Союз журналистов Казахстана по итогам творческого конкурса удостоил основателя Facebook Марка Цукерберга премии в номинации «Интернет-проект». Об этом в четверг, 23 июня, сообщает «Интерфакс».
Награда присуждена Цукербергу за создание социальной сети Facebook, «объединившей на одной информационной площадке пользователей разных стран». Знает ли предприниматель о полученной премии, не сообщается.
Ранее лауреатами конкурса Союза журналистов Казахстана становились также создатель сайта WikiLeaks Джулиан Ассанж и бывший сотрудник американских спецслужб Эдвард Сноуден.
Агентство отмечает, что в настоящее время 61-летний председатель союза Сейтказы Матаев находится под домашним арестом. Он был задержан в феврале по подозрению в хищении более 300 миллионов тенге (около 56 миллионов рублей), выделенных на информационное продвижение государственной политики и размещение материалов в печатных изданиях. Матаев возглавляет организацию с 2001 года.
