Президент России Владимир Путин подписал закон, приравнивающий крупные новостные интернет-агрегаторы к СМИ.
 
Согласно опубликованному на официальном портале правовой информации РФ документу, он вступает в силу 1 января 2017 года, пишет Телекритика
 
В нем, в частности, прописаны требования к владельцам новостных агрегаторов (сервисов с ежедневной аудиторией более 1 млн человек) при распространении информации. Среди прочего: запрет на использование для разглашения сведений, составляющих гостайну, на распространение призывов к террору или на публичное оправдание терроризма.
 
Кроме того, владельцы новостных агрегаторов обязаны проверять достоверность распространяемых общественно значимых сведений до их распространения и, если они будут противоречить предписаниям Роскомнадзора, незамедлительно прекратить их распространение.
 
За отказ выполнить требования Роскомнадзора удалить из новостного блока «недостоверную информацию» компаниям-владельцам агрегаторов грозит штраф в размере от 600 тысяч до 1 млн рублей. В случае повторного нарушения штраф увеличится до 3 млн рублей (около 1,13 млн грн).
 
Также закон обязывает сервисы хранить в течение полугода распространенную ими новостную информацию и сведения о ее источниках.
