Одним з пріоритетів на 2017 рік для Високого представника ЄС з зовнішньої політики і безпеки Федеріки Могеріні буде продовження зусиль заради реформ в Україні і співпраця зі Східним партнерством. Про це йдеться у переліку цілей і пріоритетів глави європейської дипломатії на рік, що розпочався, розміщеному на її сайті.

Зазначається, що минулий рік був роком "постійної роботи заради підтримки реформ, економічного зростання, миру і стабільності на східних кордонах ЄС. В першу чергу в Україні, де були здійснені великі спільні зусилля з реформування країни, боротьби з корупцією, і, звичайно ж, зусилля, прикладені з метою повної реалізації Мінських домовленостей і припинення конфлікту на сході країни.

"З Україною і Грузією ми зробили важливі кроки в напрямку лібералізації візового режиму" - нагадала Могеріні.

Вона зазначила, що ЄС співпрацює з усіма країнами Східного партнерства.

"Ми робимо це в повній відповідності з історією, пріоритетами і політичним вибором кожної країни і суспільства. Це партнерство для реформ, для наших громадян, а не партнерство "проти" когось - навпаки, воно є важливим елементом в напрямку більшої регіональної співпраці" - наголосила глава європейської дипломатії.

Крім України, серед пріоритетів Могеріні зазначені: глобальна стратегія зовнішньої політики ЄС; питання міграції і співпраця з Африкою; відповідь на тероризм і спільна робота заради майбутнього Сирії; безпека і оборона ЄС; партнерство з Колумбією, відносини між Палестиною та Ізраїлем; втілення угоди з Іраном; рух до ЄС Балканських країн; відновлення співпраці з Кубою; близька співпраця з США; мирний процес в Афганістані.
