Проведенное телеканалом Fox News расследование не нашло доказательств влияния России на результаты президентских выборов в США.

"Демократы обвиняют Россию в фальсификации подсчетов [голосов] за Хиллари Клинтон в колеблющихся штатах на президентских выборах 2016 года, но расследование Fox News не нашло доказательств для поддержки таких заявлений", - говорится в материале Fox News, передет Новое время

Многочисленные госчиновники и наблюдатели за выборами заявили, что нет аргументов в пользу заявлений членов сенатского Комитета по разведке о кампании дезинформации, повлиявшей на результаты.

Ранее сенатор Марк Уорнер заявил, что Россия вмешивалась в выборы путем хакерских атак, а также распространения лживой информации интернет-троллями, что стоило Клинтон победы.

"В России насчитывалось свыше 1000 платных интернет-троллей, которые фактически захватывали целую серию компьютеров", - говорил он.

Телеканал опросил чиновников в штате Висконсин, Мичиган и Пенсильвания, были ли какие-либо жалобы, поданные после президентских выборов 2016 года. "Никто здесь не получал никаких жалоб или сообщений о явно преднамеренных дезинформационных кампаниях", - заявила пресс-секретарь госдепартамента штата Пенсильвания Ванда Муррен.

Бывший агент ФБР Клинт Уоттс заявил, что президент Трамп "попугайничал" русскую пропаганду, усилив ее эффективность.

"Одной из причин того, что это сработало на выборах в США, является то, что главнокомандующий активно использовал российские меры против своих оппонентов", - сказал Уоттс на слушании в Разведывательном комитете Сената.
