Прем'єр-міністр Великобританії Тереза Мей звинуватила європейських політиків і чиновників у прагненні вплинути на результати національних виборів 8 червня. Про це повідомляє Reuters.

"В останні кілька днів ми бачили, наскільки жорсткими можуть бути переговори з Brexit. Становище Великої Британії в Європі було спотворене в континентальній пресі, переговорна позиція Єврокомісії стала жорсткішою, погрози стосовно Великої Британії були опубліковані європейськими політиками і посадовими особами", - заявила Мей.

За її словами, ці дії були спеціально розраховані на те, щоб вплинути на результати загальних виборів. Мей вважає, що дехто в Брюсселі не прагне успішних переговорів з Британією за Brexit. 

"Події кількох останніх днів показали, що, якими б не були наші побажання і розумні позиції інших європейських лідерів, у Брюсселі є ті, хто не хоче, щоб ці переговори були успішними. Хто не хоче, щоб Британія процвітала", - резюмувала прем'єр.
