Будівля колишнього Центрального гастроному на Хрещатику, 40/1, яка зазнала значних пошкоджень в результаті масштабної пожежі, закрили новим захисним банером. Про це інформує PRпортал.

Триповерхова будівля була побудована в 1873 році, спочатку знали як готель «Кане». Потім в ньому був розташований Центральний гастроном. Зараз будинок наполовину відселений, останнім часом на перших поверхах працювали кілька магазинів і кафе.

Власник будівлі загальною площею 3507,5 кв. м - ТОВ «АБ Інвестиції і розвиток».

Даний об'єкт занесений до державного реєстру нерухомих пам'яток України як пам'ятка історії, архітектури та містобудування місцевого значення - «Готель« Кане »(1873-1874 рр.). Через це Київська мерія вирішила направити власнику будівлі припис з вимогами відновити пам'ятник. У 2000х роках будівлю звільнили від жителів і орендарів і завісили банером. У 2008 році «АБ Інвестиції і розвиток» виступило замовником будівництва 10-поверхового торгово-офісного комплексу в рамках реставрації Центрального гастроному на вул. Хрещатик, 40/1 в Києві. Проект представила проектна організація ТАМ «Микола Дьомін».
