5 июля президент Франции поучавствовал в военных учениях на атомной подводной лодке Le Terrible (рус. Грозная), во время которых экипаж имитировал пуск ядерной ракеты. Подводная лодка находилась на расстоянии 300 км от побережья Франции и Макрона на нее доставляли с помощью вертолета. Фотографию посадки политик опубликовал в Twitter:
