Нещодавно засновник соціальної мережі Facebook Марк Цукерберг виступив із заявою щодо можливого втручання Росії у вибори у США, передає ТСН.

Своєю чергою, директор служби безпеки Facebook Алекс Стамос заявив, що намагаючись відстежити зв'язок між можливим втручанням Москви у вибори в США і рекламними оголошеннями у Facebook, в соцмережі знайшли приблизно 470 фейкових акаунтів і сторінок, які з червня 2015 по травень 2017 років придбали близько 3 тисяч оголошень на загальну суму 100 тисяч доларів. Ці облікові записи та сторінки були пов'язані один з одним і, ймовірно, діяли з Росії.

Фейкові акаунти, або боти, існують у кожній соціальній мережі та налічують мільйони. Зокрема, у Twitter діє незлічена кількість політичних ботів, які створені для того, аби на теренах соцмереж вести інформаційну війну.

Розслідувачі Bellingcat пояснюють, що твіттер-бот - це акаунт, який ведеться програмою, приблизно як літак, ведений автопілотом. Тому, їм вдалося виділити 12 способів розпізнати такого бота. Утім, у Bellingcat наголошують, що усі ці методи не дають 100% гарантії.
