Спікер парламенту австралійського штату Південна Австралія Майкл Аткінс прийшов на чергове засідання сесії у вишиванці
 

Про це повідомив голова Союзу українських організацій Австралії Стефан Романів на сорінці в Faсebook .

"Я одягнув вишиванку, національну сорочку України, бо три роки з того часу, як російська армія вторглася в Україну, люди продовжують гинути в Донецьку та Луганську кожен день і про це не слід забувати", – прокоментував свій вчинок Майкл Аткінс.

Представники української громади відзначають прихильне ставлення політика до України, регулярну підтримку ініціатив української громади штату, неодноразову участь у заходах Асоціації українців Південної Австралії, особливо у час, коли політик був міністром багатокультурності штату.
