Недавние расследования, связанные с деятельностью британской компании Cambridge Analytica, негативно сказались на репутации Facebook. Недавно стало известно, что компания, занимающаяся влиянием на поведение пользователей в социальных сетях, собрала личные данные 50 миллионов пользователей Facebook и смоделировала поведение десятков миллионов американцев для того, чтобы показывать им релевантную политическую рекламу. Считается, что именно Cambridge Analytica внесла весомый вклад в победу Дональда Трампа на выборах президента США.

Это не считая массового засилья фейков на просторе мировой соцсети. Естественно, в такой ситуации следует что-то предпринимать для удержания пользователей. Цукерберг и компания не нашли ничего лучше, чем купить рекламу в крупнейших газетах Мексики, где на целых разворотах были размещены советы, как избежать попадания в ловушку фейков.

Материал называется "Советы, как определить фейковые новости" и включает в себя десять рекомендаций, таких как "Усомниться в заголовке", "Проверить источник" и "Внимательно следить за URL-адресом". В конце текста есть приписка: "Вместе мы сможем ограничить распространение фейковых новостей".

Выборы в Мексике должны пройти 1 июля.
