Сервіс мікроблогів Twitter оголосив про оновлення стрічки з публікаціями користувачів.

Як пише Business Insider, користувачі зможуть обирати між двома режимами: відображення актуальних постів та відображення постів у хронологічному порядку. Зараз у сервісі вже реалізована функція «Показувати спочатку кращі твіти». Якщо її відключити, то в стрічці у зворотному хронологічному порядку будуть відображатися пости тих профілів, на які користувач підписаний. Раніше компанія вже використовувала такий формат стрічки, але відмовилася від нього в 2016 році.

Сама компанія у своїй заяві вказала, що просто дослухалась до побажань своїх користувачів, яким більше до вподоби хронологічний порядок відображення постів. «Наша мета — зробити стрічку збалансованою, аби у ній відображалися і найновіші твіти, і найкращі твіти, які будуть вам цікавими. Нам не завжди вдається досягати цього балансу», — зазначили у Twitter. Коли саме будуть запущені анонсовані опції в компанії не уточнили.

Видання Mashable звертає увагу на те, що акції Twitter демонструють падіння, тож таким чином компанія намагається залучити більше користувачів та мотивувати їх проводити більше часу в сервісі.

Нещодавно компанія Twitter також змінила правила для політичної реклами на платформі. Рекламодавці, оголошення яких торкаються політичних питань, повинні будуть отримати окремий сертифікат.
