Депутаты пришли сегодня в Верховную раду в вышиванках, так образом они решили отпраздновать день вышиванки, который ежегодно отмечается в третий четверг мая, пишет LB.ua

 Впрочем, часть депутатов пришли без вышиванки. Среди них, например, представители Оппозиционного блока, партии «Возрождение» и некоторые нефракционные депутаты.

В Оттаве канадские депутаты также пришли на работу в вишиванках. Об этом сообщил полол Украины в Канаде АндрейШевченко у себя на Facebook. «День вышиванки в Оттаве празднуем с канадскими депутатами и украинским интернами», - написал он.

Изначально День вышиванки был предложен студенткой факультета истории, политологии и международных отношений Черновицкого национального университета имени Лесей Воронюк в 2006 году.

Праздник не привязан к государственным или религиозным памятным датам. Его цель - сохранить исконные народные традиции создания и ношения этнической вышитой украинской одежды.
