Знімок станції київського метро “Видубичі” увійшов до збірки фотографій, які опублікували на сторінці авторитетної американської газети The New York Times в Instagram. Також до збірки німецького фотографа Френка Герфорта потрапили станції харківської та дніпровської підземок.

В описі до світлин зазначається, що Герфорт з 2014 до 2020 рік відвідав 19 міст в Україні, Азербайджані, Грузії, Вірменії, Узбекистані, Білорусі, Росії тощо та сфотографував 770 станцій метро.

“Моєю метою було створити якомога ближчий до повного архіву метрополітенів… Зрештою я відвідав кілька міст, чиї системи метро формально не належать до Радянського Союзу, але були побудовані або суттєво змінені в радянські часи, або навіть частково побудовані радянськими архітекторами та інженерами. Серед них станції метро в Бухаресті, Будапешті та Празі. Майже в кожному місті, яке я відвідав, я стикався з одним і тим же питанням: “Чому ти тут фотографуєш?” — розповів він у своєму есе.

На станції “зеленої вітки” київського метрополітену “Видубичі” в об’єктив фотографа потрапила літня жінка з сумкою.
