Ведущий «Подробностей недели» и руководитель новостей телеканала «Интер» россиянин Евгений Киселев напомнил российскому дипломату Андрею Воробьеву, что сам лично является историком по специальности и по призванию, и посоветовал дипломату внимательнее читать произведения Николая Костомарова, а также Михаила Грушевского и других авторов, особенно новейших. Об этом Киселев сказал в комментарии «Телекритике» в ответ на упреки дипломата относительно неправильного толкования исторического периода «Руины», сообщает Главком. 

Также он посоветовал «смешливому дипломату» чаще вспоминать поговорку, что смех без причины - признак вполне определенного склада ума.

Напомним, советник-посланник российского посольства Андрей Воробьев, осудив якобы некомпетентность Киселева, сказал: «В период с 1663 по 1687 годы Правобережье, став ареной бесконечных восстаний и войн, потеряло практически население и превратилось в пустыню. Правобережье, слышал ли об этом Киселев, оставалось под контролем Речи Посполитой, и население бежало оттуда на левый берег под защиту Московского царства, где и процветало. Читайте монографию Н. И.
