Австрійська розвідка виявила масштабну кампанію дезінформації, організовану росією з метою дискредитації України. Під час розслідування щодо болгарського громадянина, підозрюваного у шпигунстві, з'ясувалося, що він керував поширенням маніпулятивних проукраїнських повідомлень, але з націоналістичним і правоекстремістським забарвленням, - повідомляє , - Bloomberg. 

Мета операції — посіяти недовіру до керівництва України, використовуючи провокаційні формулювання.  

Австрія, будучи нейтральним членом ЄС, давно відома як один із центрів шпигунської діяльності в Європі. Її великі дипломатичні представництва та міжнародні організації часто стають прикриттям для розвідувальних операцій.  

Цей випадок підкреслює тривожну тенденцію використання дезінформації росією для підриву підтримки України та посилення внутрішніх розколів у Європі.
