В иностранной прессе обсуждаются изменения в политику кредитования МВФ стран, не расплатившихся по суверенным долгам. По мнению западных журналистов, ситуация с «долгом Януковича» покажет насколько такая политика будет оправдана, чтобы не допустить злоупотреблений в объявлении дефолта. Вопрос с продлением европейских санкций дипломаты обещают решить уже на следующей недели, не вынося его на саммит ЕС.

В МВФ все-таки внесли изменения в правила предоставления финансовой помощи, гарантировав Украине выполнение программы кредитования, даже в случае если с Москвой по «долгу Януковича» не получится договорится. Естественно, в России это вызвало волну недовольства. С антикоррупционным послание Байдена тоже не все гладко, пишут западные журналисты, ведь его младший сын работает одним из руководителей украинского нефтегазового предприятия, подозреваемого в коррупционных схемах.

В западной прессе активно обсуждается приезд вице-президента США Джо Байдена в Украину. В целом, его поездка, как и ожидалось, направлена в большей степени на успокоение украинцев, что США не оставят Киев один-на-один с агрессивным соседом, а будут и дальше продолжать помогать Украине. Вторым пунктом так и остается – склонить украинскую власть к внедрению в жизнь программы реформ и антикоррупционного законодательства.

Российское предложение по реструктуризации суверенного долга Украины, все больше встречает критики экспертов. При более детальном рассмотрении, в нем вообще не просматривается никакой уступки. Что же касается антитеррористического альянса с Россией, западные журналисты здесь также сходятся во мнении, что это будет ошибкой идти на какое-либо соглашение с Москвой до тех пор, пока не будут выполнены все условия Минских соглашений.
