Четырехсторонняя встреча на высшем уровне для разрешения конфликта на Восточной Украине пройдет в начале октября, сообщают западные информагентства. Но уже в самые ближайшие дни министры иностранных дел встретятся для обсуждения проблем реализации мирных соглашений. В иностранной прессе все больше вызывает озабоченность начало наращивания военного присутствия вооруженных сил РФ в Сирии на стороне правительства Ассада. По мнению американских политиков такие двусмысленные действия российской власти могут спровоцировать еще более глубокую конфронтацию с Западом.

ООН обнародовало новые данные по жертвам военного конфликта на Донбассе. Согласно докладу, вина за гибель мирных жителей в равной степени лежит на обеих сторонах конфликта. В то же время, Украина предоставила юрисдикцию МУС для расследования военных преступлений на своей территории. В Европе уже начинают с неприятием поглядывать на Северный поток 2, который может внести серьезные разногласия в единство Европейского Союза.

Европейские лидеры не намерены закрывать глаза на перспективу эскалации военного конфликта в Украине, считают журналисты западных СМИ. Решение Александра Лукашенко помиловать политических оппозиционеров на кануне выборов, стало полной неожиданностью для европейских СМИ. Такого поворота событий никто не ожидал от «последнего диктатора Европы». Но западные журналисты не настолько наивны, чтобы полагать, что Лукашенко решил выйти из орбиты Москвы. Судя по всему, там вопрос больше упирается в финансы, которых в Минске нет, и взять их кроме как из МВФ просто не откуда.

Еврокомиссия поддержит трехсторонние газовые переговоры между Россией и Украиной, если они смогут найти общие точки соприкосновения на двусторонних переговорах в конце августа. Правда, до конца не ясно, что будет делать Европа, если этих «точек» так найти и не удастся, ведь от стабильности поставок российского газа через Украину зависит, в первую очередь, ее благополучие. Западные СМИ по-прежнему продолжают обсуждать российскую «сырную войну» европейским продукта питания. Все бы ничего, но безумие российского руководства начинает достигать действительно пугающих масштабов.
