Иностранные журналисты также в очередной раз обращают внимание общественности, что «блокбастер» Путина в Сирии – это не что иное, как отвлечение внимания от событий, происходящих на Украине.

Обращение Украины в ВТО с требованием рассмотреть незаконные действия России в отношении запрета на импорт украинской железнодорожной продукции, стало главной темой украинских событий. В иностранной прессе отмечается, что если Россия не пойдет на примирение в этом вопросе в течение двух месяцев, то проблема уже решаться через международный суд. Жертвами российских бомбежек в Сирии, по сообщениям правозащитных организаций, все чаще становятся мирные жители, среди которых много женщин и детей.

Украинская делегация вошла в новый состав Совета Безопасности ООН и западные СМИ ожидают, что следующие два года для России будут особенно тяжелыми. Ведь кроме Украины, в состав совета вошла и Япония, у которой есть территориальные претензии по Курильским островам. Второй новостью дня стал ультиматум Украины Путину в течение двух недель «подумать» над предложением о реструктуризации внешнего долга, предложенного украинским правительством.

В иностранной прессе уверены, что на сегодняшнем голосовании Украина получит место в Совете Безопасности ООН. Результаты голосования будут опубликованы уже вечером, но для оптимизма есть все основания. В торой новостью стало то, что в Нидерландах решено провести референдум по ратификации соглашения об ассоциации Украина-ЕС. Никакого обязательного решения для голландского правительства референдум носить не будет, но может создать некоторые предпосылки для напряженности в Евросоюзе в перспектив его расширения.

Участие России в сирийском конфликте по-прежнему остается одной из главных тем в иностранной прессе. Молчаливая позиция США при этом, дает понимание западным журналистам, что инициатива здесь полностью на стороне России. По крайней мере, пока. Призыв Путина к МВФ не переписывать правила под Украину, а просто дать ей дополнительные средства, чтобы она смогла избежать дефолта, воспринимают в СМИ не иначе как его очередную издевку над проблемой, которую он сам же и создал. В самом фонде пока никак не отреагировали на «подсказку» российского президента.

Самым обсуждаемым событием в западной прессе стала очередная победа Александра Лукашенко на выборах президента Белоруссии. Но в отличие, от предыдущих «побед», это избирательная кампания вызвала гораздо меньше негатива со стороны Европы и США. На Западе отмечается, что Белоруссия активно подает знаки о своей готовности пересмотреть отношения с Европой в сторону их потепления, что не может не приветствоваться европейскими лидерами. Не забывает иностранная пресса и про главную проблему Украины — борьбу с коррупцией.

Глава Еврокомиссии призывает начать налаживать отношения с Россией. Такой поворот в европейском восприятии системы международной безопасности может свидетельствовать об ослаблении позиций США в Европе и мире, считают в западной прессе. В то время как, Россия активно демонстрирует свое право на агрессию по всему миру, Америка может позволить себе лишь критику. Вопрос с противополиомиелитной вакцинацией украинских детей встал после того, как президент Всеукраинского совета защиты прав и безопасности пациентов засомневался в безопасности мед препаратов, переданных ООН.
